Reversing system and parking aid for trailers or bike racks. Once mounted on the trailer or bike rack, you have a reversing warning system with any vehicle, so that you are alerted to the distance to an obstacle behind the trailer or bike rack by warning tones. Finally, you can relax when reversing or parking with a trailer or bike rack behind your car. Thanks to the latest CANBus technology, the signal is transmitted via the vehicle’s ground cable without interference and without additional cables or disruptive radio waves/WiFi. The Easy-Key for the warning tone is simply plugged into the cigarette lighter and can therefore be used with ANY vehicle, meaning that the towing vehicles for a trailer can be changed as desired. The system is connected by simply plugging in the trailer connector and the sensors are activated by engaging reverse gear.
Change your vehicle as often as you like
Bicycle racks with mounted bicycles or trailers with attachments such as mirrors, tarpaulins, sales vehicles, or horse trailers are very difficult or sometimes impossible to see in the side mirrors when reversing. This parking aid was developed precisely for this purpose. Two sensors with an XL detection range monitor the area behind the bicycle rack or trailer, as is usual with a reversing system. The EasyKey simply needs to be plugged into the 12-volt car socket at the front or in the trunk, and as soon as the trailer plug is inserted, the reversing warning system is activated and reports obstacles as soon as reverse gear is engaged.
Easy installation
Installation is extremely simple, as only the two sensors need to be mounted on the trailer or the trailer hitch bike rack, and the CAN-BUS transmitter module is connected to the reverse light. The system is then ready to use and transmits the signal reliably and without interference via the vehicle’s ground cable as soon as the trailer plug is connected to the towing vehicle. All components are encapsulated with IP67 waterproof protection, making the system suitable even for boat trailers.
Preventive protective measure
The costs incurred in the event of an accident or paint damage usually exceed the costs of this system many times over. Since a bike rack or trailer is used for many years and usually longer than the actual towing vehicle, the system pays for itself very quickly, as the EasyKey system allows you to use this reversing monitoring system with any car, meaning it can be used for years to come.
Connecting the system
The Bus-Easy-2 system is simply connected to the circuitry of your trailer or bike rack. This gives you the advantage of automatically activating the parking system as soon as you put your vehicle in reverse. If your vehicle approaches an obstacle, the two sensors detect the danger and the Easy Key emits a clearly audible alarm inside the vehicle, which can also be heard clearly by hearing aid users. The system works day and night, helping you to park your vehicle safely and quickly and effectively avoiding scratches and dents. Thanks to interference-free CanBus technology, the system is particularly quick and easy to install. The special feature of this system is the Easy-Key: once you have installed the system permanently on your trailer/bike rack, you can change the towing vehicle as often as you like.
